Meet the Humans - Pet Pals and Dog Club

Our staff is always heavily involved in community activities, including mentoring programs, coaching youth sports, and judging the town day dog show. The Pet Pals family is commited to the highest standards when it comes to caring for your pet.

The Dog Club Team

David (Owner)

Dave and his wife, Kristin, reside in Winchester with their three beautiful children, David Jr., Eliza Grace, and Mekhi. Possibly the only person who likes all four seasons of New England weather, Dave started Pet Pals way back in 1994! In the few hours that Dave's not running Pet Pals and the Dog Club, he plays lacrosse, hockey, and basketball, and coaches Winchester boys youth lacrosse.

Meg (Manager)

Meg has been with Pet Pals since 2001! She runs the office and handles all of the billing and scheduling. Growing up in the small town of Hampton, NH, she discovered Pet Pals during her summers at Tufts University – where she graduated in 2003. Passionate about all animals, but with a special soft-spot for dogs, Meg currently resides with her husband in Somerville, MA.

Nelson (Walker)

Originally from Columbia, Nelson loves soccer and biking. An avid dog-enthusiast, he used to volunteer at the local animal shelter before he moved here from Virginia. He's had a mastiff, a boxer, a terrier, a Dalmatian, and a German-shepherd mix. Nelson loves playing with the dogs in his group as he leads them through the Winchester Fellsway!

Curtis (Walker)

Curtis served in the Army Reserves for eight years. Growing up his mother was always rescuing animals, even chickens and an eagle! He's lived all over the country, but is a recent graduate from the Art Institute of Boston, where he majored in photography. Curtis loves snowboarding and the outdoors. The first dog he ever owned was a cocker spaniel named Rosie!

Mike (Walker)

Mike's a Winchester native who graduated from UMass Amherst, where he studied animation and art. Mike found Pet Pals while we were walking his old doggy, Guinness (who liked towels, bananas and swimming). You may see him roller-blading around town, enjoying the outdoors!

Jeff (Walker)

Jeff currently lives in Medford but grew up in Burnt Hills, New York with his terrier mix Maizie and two cats. He recently graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec where he majored in History. He loves animals so much, he even rescued two stray cats from the streets of Montreal! Jeff enjoys music and plays drums in a local band in his spare time. He keeps a close watch on the little guys in his small dog group here at Pet Pals’ Dog Club!

Ben (Walker)

Ben grew up in Winchester, and currently resides in Medford with his cat Maude Moon.  On a hiatus from Bard College, where he studied Philosphy, Ben is taking some time to explore his music and love of animals. His band, "The Images" includes his brother Pete, and his fellow Pet Pals Walker, Mike!   You can catch them performing at the Cantab Lounge, playing Rufus Thomas' "Walking the Dog".  His fellsway and Dog Club groups include some of our most mature veterans, still having fun with their new friends!

Adam (Walker)

Formerly a personal  trainer, Adam took frequent long jogs in theFells with the dogs of his friends and family, a pastime which lead him to discover Pet Pals!  Growing up among Labradors and Golden Retrievers,  Adam is a true pack leader and guides his group through the woods “like the dog whisperer.”  A Wakefield man, born and raised, Adam wins the unofficial contest for thickest Boston accent among the staff!
